A chat widget that answers from your own pages
Most chat widgets answer with whatever the internet says about a business like yours. This one answers with what you have written down: your prices, your delivery windows, and the work you turn down. When it does not know, it says so and gives the visitor your email address.
Why not a chat bot you can install in five minutes?
Because those answer from a general model, not from your site. It shows in the first exchange: a widget that guesses a price, invents a delivery window, or promises something you do not offer. Finding that out from a customer costs more than installing this.
Answers only from your pages
Every answer comes from a list you approve: prices as you publish them, lead times you keep, work you do not take. Nothing is generated from a model's idea of your business.
One file, no third party
The whole widget is a single 31 KB script served from your own domain. No analytics vendor, no session recorder, no chat platform holding your conversations on someone else's servers.
It ends when the conversation ends
Three minutes of silence closes the thread. No zombie sessions, no queue of abandoned chats, and nothing to review at the end of the week except conversations that really happened.
Small and fixed on purpose
384 by 620 pixels, a warning at two and a half minutes, a close at three. Fixed numbers keep it a widget instead of a platform you have to administer.
What do I get for $600?
One install, finished, configured for your site rather than a demo left for you to complete. The work is the answers, not the file copy, so most of the time goes into the questions your buyers actually ask.
- The widget installed on the pages you choose, styled to match the site
- Your first 20 real buyer questions written into the answer layer, in your words
- The model key stored as a server secret, never in the page source
- A handover document: how to change an answer, what to check after a deploy
- The source files and config, yours to keep and edit
- 30 days of fixes for defects in what was delivered
What does it cost, and who pays the model?
Two ways to buy it. Both include the install and the handover. The monthly option adds a person reading what visitors actually asked and rewriting the answers they could not get.
| Option | Price | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| InstallSetup on your site, your first 20 questions written in, the key configured, a handover document, source files. | $600 once | 3–5 days |
| Install + CareThe install above, then each month: a read of the real conversations, new answers for the questions it missed, and a note on what it still cannot answer. | $600 once, then $120 / month | 3–5 days, then monthly |
Prices in US dollars. One install covers one site. Checked on 2026-10-19.
Why you bring your own key
The widget calls a model provider with a key that belongs to you. You pay that provider at its published rates, on your account, at cost. We do not resell model usage, do not proxy your traffic, and never see your bill. If your visitors ask nothing unusual one month, that bill is small, and you can see exactly why.
Why there is no hosted version
Hosting it would mean holding your key and marking up your visitors' messages, and then neither of us could tell what a conversation really costs. The component is one file for the same reason: it belongs on your server, under your control, and it keeps working if this studio stops answering email.
What is not included?
These are separate jobs, quoted separately, and worth doing only once the widget is answering the questions you already have.
- Writing your page copy or product descriptions. Answers come from what you already publish.
- CRM, helpdesk or store integration that writes conversations into your own tools.
- WhatsApp or phone handoff with a live agent queue.
- Model fees, hosting and domain costs, which you pay directly to those providers.
- Changes after the first 30 days, unless you are on the monthly care plan.
Questions people ask before they buy this
The five that come up every time, answered the same way here as in the widget itself.
- Does it make up prices? No. It can only repeat numbers that appear in the answers you write, and the rule layer matches those questions word for word. If a question needs a price that is not published, it asks for one sample and hands the conversation to you by email.
- How are model costs calculated? You pay your model provider for the tokens your visitors use, at their published rates, on your own account. The kit does not proxy that traffic, so there is no markup and no invoice from us. Anything your written answers already cover costs nothing, because the rule layer answers without a model call.
- Can I edit it myself? Yes. You get the source files, one config file for the visible text and colors, and one list in the endpoint where the answers live. Changing an answer is one line of text and a deploy, with no build step and no dependency to install.
- Will it answer questions outside my pages? It is told not to. The model sees your approved answers and nothing else, and when a question is not covered it says so and gives your email address. A widget that invents an answer costs a sale and a reputation, so the failure mode is silence and a handoff.
- What happens when nobody is online? It still answers everything you wrote answers for, at any hour. Questions it cannot answer become an email address in the thread, and the conversation closes itself after three minutes of silence, so there is no queue of abandoned chats to read the next morning.
